Tech Crew
I was the Tech Crew's Tech Supervisor - 2021/2023
In the tech crew we train each other to use lighting, sound, AV, fog, smoke and camera equipment so they are able to tech performances and run each respective system.
I have been a member of the tech crew since 2017
Tech Crew
As part of the tech crew I help out on all productions that use the drama studio including: GCSE & A-level performances, Formby High School's annual Christmas Pantomime, Formby High School's Summer Showcase, Leavers Assemblies and Arts Award Showcases.
Communication:
We speak to each other to work as a team effectively to overcome issues and support each other. We work with people who are in the tech industry to teach us more and to gain new experiences that can benefit us in the future.
We also train each other to put up scaffolding which we use to change and clean lights that are on the rig.
The rig
We clean the lights to maintain them and we change the lights to customise them for each show allowing us to make each show look unique.
We also do maintenance on our other equipment including speakers & amps.
Amp
Our Christmas Panto is the highlight of the year with only 3 showings we usually sell out most/all nights, last year we where full every night.
I set up lights for our 2020 Panto which had no audience.
I also ran lights for the Panto in 2021 and sound in 2022
